SignReach

Terms & Conditions

SignReach tries to be as flexible as possible but it is essential that we follow certain rules to avoid confusion and disappointment for both our students and ourselves. By booking our services, customers accept these terms and conditions and agree to adhere to them.

GENERAL

Course fees include course materials and Signature assessment fees.

SignReach will provide materials to enable you to participate in our training courses. All course materials are the intellectual property of SignReach. You are not allowed to copy, duplicate or reproduce these materials.

COURSE INFORMATION

Training places are limited and allocated on a ‘first-come first-served’ basis. SignReach is not obliged to run a course or workshop if there are not enough bookings. However we do reserve the right to adjust the length or times of the course depending on student numbers.

Some courses and workshops require a pre-assessment, or evidence of prior qualifications, to ensure students meet the requirements of the course they wish to enrol for. If pre-assessment is carried out, the learner may be charged for this, regardless of whether they are then accepted on the course or not.

Enrolment in our courses does not guarantee a pass in the assessments or attainment of the qualification. Assessments are invigilated and marked both internally by SignReach and externally by Signature.

PAYMENT TERMS

Unless otherwise specified, payment for the services bought must be received in full before the first date of the course. We do not receive any funding and therefore unfortunately cannot offer concessions.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Cancellations must be received 14 days prior to the beginning of the course and a refund will be provided within 7 days, minus a £50 fee to cover our administrative expenses. No refunds can be given for learners who do not take their place on the course if less than 14 days’ notice is provided.

SignReach reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule any training within 24 hours prior to the start date if the minimum number of students has not been enrolled. In this case SignReach will carry over any fees paid for the new date, and guarantee the learners who are already enrolled a place on the next course. If this is not suitable, we can return or credit any fees that have been paid. SignReach is not responsible for any other cost to students incurred due to a cancelled class.

DELIVERY

The course will be delivered at the location and time and dates specified at the enrolment stage and advertised on our website. If course location or dates change then students will be notified in advance by the course tutor.

Students are entirely responsible for their own transport to and from the location and must make us aware of any access requirements in advance, which we will do our best to meet.

SignReach endeavours to keep all information correct and up-to-date. However, we reserve the right to vary the content or method of delivery of any course or workshop, without consulting you. Any changes will normally appear on our website and will often be accompanied by e-mail or postal notification.

ABSENCES

Anyone enrolling for a training course or workshop will be charged for its full duration. No reductions can be made in respect of late arrival, early departure or non-attendance during any part of the training. Extra tuition to cover any missed sessions can be arranged at a cost. If a tutor is unable to deliver a session, SignReach reserves the right to source a cover tutor who has the necessary experience/qualifications or alternatively reschedule the session for a later date.

No refunds will be given to students for non-attendance of the course. The tutor will only enter students for assessments if they have attended enough sessions and the tutor is confident that they have a chance of passing the assessment.

Students cannot opt-out of assessments once booked. If a student does not attend an assessment date, they may be charged to retake the assessment.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

We do not carry insurance to cover your personal items. You are responsible for your personal items if they are lost, damaged or stolen whilst you are at our premises or any other premises at which the training is held. You should not bring valuable items with you.

CONDUCT

Whilst attending training you must act in a responsible manner to assist in the smooth running of the training. We expect all of our learners to be respectful to each other and the tutor. If your conduct falls below what we consider to be a reasonable standard then we may take such action as we feel is appropriate and may, at our discretion, suspend you from the training. If suspended, your fees will not be refunded and you will not be transferred to another course or workshop.

PRIVACY

We respect the privacy of our customers, clients and students.

We do not store customer credit card information.

No data will be shared with third-parties for marketing purposes. We will share your information with the examination board in order to facilitate the progress of your assessments.

SignReach will keep any student details on a database held only by us for the purpose of administration, market research and mailing, by post or email, of our own publicity from time-to-time. If you do not wish to receive such communication from us, please let us know in writing.

  • Demonstrating a commitment to the Deaf community by attending Deaf events, volunteering, meeting Deaf friends etc.

All work produced must be my own.

I must behave in an appropriate manner and be considerate of others, at all times.
