THE TYPE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We currently collect and process the following information, depending on the service you require: your name and your contact details including email address. In order to enrol you in one of our courses, we additionally may require your address, date of birth, gender, sensory type, ethnicity, and information about any medical conditions we need to be aware of or reasonable adjustments we must provide in order to make the course accessible to you, and information about attainment of prior qualifications, if applicable.

 

HOW WE GET THE PERSONAL INFORMATION AND WHY WE HAVE IT

We collect information from you when you use our website to contact us about one of our services, for example, to make an enquiry about our services, register your interest in or book one of our British Sign Language courses. We may share this information with the awarding body, Signature, in order to process your enrolment on the courses, your assessments and attainment of the qualification. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: (a) We have a contractual obligation. (b) We have a legitimate interest. We may disclose your personal information if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data to comply with a legal obligation or for law enforcement purposes. We will never sell your data or share your data with other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes. We may use your personal data to contact you about our services. RETENTION OF RECORDS

Your data will be stored for as long as necessary to comply with legal requirements relating to retention of records or while holding the data is necessary to ensure the delivery of our service to you.
